Job Description
Future Build are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our client specialising in architectural metalwork. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management within the construction industry, particularly in the fabrication and installation of architectural metalwork. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Projects will typically range up to £3 million in value.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
· Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and procurement strategies.
· Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment of project objectives and deliverables.
· Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Budget and Cost Management:
· Monitor project budgets and expenses throughout the project lifecycle.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to maximise project profitability.
· Review and approve project invoices, change orders, and variations in scope.
Team Leadership and Management:
· Lead project teams, including designers, fabricators, installers, and subcontractors, to achieve project goals.
· Provide clear direction, support, and motivation to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
· Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any issues or conflicts that may arise.
Client Relationship Management:
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of inquiries and concerns.
· Build and maintain strong client relationships, fostering trust and confidence in our ability to deliver exceptional results.
· Proactively identify opportunities for additional work and collaborate with sales teams to secure repeat business.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
· Implement quality control measures to ensure that all architectural metalwork meets design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
· Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to identify and address any deviations or deficiencies.
· Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and as-built records.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
· Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on architectural metalwork projects.
· Strong technical knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, materials, and installation methods.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore, AutoCAD).
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
· Understanding of relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
