Job Description
We are currently working alongside a valued privately owned medium sized main contractor on several vacancies which have come up due to continued growth. The company specialises in the delivery of design & build projects across a variety of sectors such as residential, education, leisure and commercial with values ranging from £5m – £50m. They are now searching for a strong Senior Quantity Surveyor to join with the view of overseeing the commercial aspects of either a large project or multiple mid-range schemes which will predominantly spread across the residential area.
Responsibilities
- Overall commercial responsibility over the projects undertaken
- Ensure targeted profit margins and consistently maintained
- Cost valuation, Submission and Negotiations of Final Accounts
- Weekly reports with the Commercial Manager
- Oversight of a Trainee/Assistant Quantity surveyor
About you
- Strong financial acumen and good knowledge of construction contracts
- Degree is not essential but preferable, must have D&B experience with main contractors
- Longevity with prior employers is a must as well as examples of working on projects from start to finish
