Job Description
We are currently Recruiting for an experienced Design Manager who has previous experience working on various sized Carpentry & Joinery packages. This role will suit someone who has worked or is currently working on medium to large scale Carpentry or Joinery projects across multiple sectors including Residential, Commercial, Education, and Health. This will be a primarily site-based position on various sites around the Central London area, with occasional office visits in Hampshire.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring structural drawings and designs are produced on time, to a high quality
- Reviewing designs with health and safety in mind
- Maintaining thorough documentation of the design process
- Motivating and encouraging internal design teams
- Carrying out duties on site, with occasional office visits
About you:
- Ideally come from a Carpentry & Joinery background i.e on the tools, workshop manager etc.
- Thorough experience of Design, and Carpentry & Joinery works
- Prior experience managing teams of professionals
- Being able to work successfully alongside Commercial Director’s and Contract’s Directors
- Strong understanding of AutoCad, and the Joinery process.
- Leadership and motivational skills
